Sauteed Green Beans

Instead of steaming or boiling beans, try sautéing in a little olive oil.
Green beans will turn a vibrant green as they heat up. How el dente you like them is up to you.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (100 gr) green beans, trimmed
  • 1 TBSP olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  • In a pasta sized bowl toss the beans and olive oil. Mix well.
  • Heat a skillet and add the beans.
  • Lightly salt and pepper the beans while cooking over medium heat.
  • Cook until the texture you prefer and season if desired. We like el dente, so 5 – 6 minutes is plenty. Others in the family prefer 10 +.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

Definitely pair the wine with the main.
