Caesar Bar

There are so many Canadian boutique businesses, products, craft beer, cheese producers, estate and family wineries, it would be hard to list all of our favorites.
There is, however, one favorite drink, invented in Calgary that shows up on our annual summer visits with friends. The Caesar. Invented at what is now the Westin in downtown Calgary, by Walter Chell.
Whether you like virgin Caesars, or ones with vodka, everyone has their very own special way of making it and what garnishes the glass.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 oz. (2 TBSP) Vodka if desired
  • Mott’s Clamato juice
  • Ice
  • Tabasco
  • Worcestershire Sauce
  • Fresh Limes
  • Celery
  • Pepperoni sticks
  • Extreme Beans
  • Pickled Asparagus
  • Dill Pickles
  • Caesar Rimmer spices
  • Olives
  • Pickled Peperoncini

Instructions
 

  • Swipe a lime wedge around the rim of a glass and then place the edge into the Rimmer.
  • Fill half of the glass with ice.
  • Add Vodka and Clamato Juice. The amount of Clamato will depend on how strong you want the drink, use a tall or high ball glass.
  • Next add desired spices, Tabasco, Worcestershire, lime juice and celery salt. The amount of spice and heat is up to you!
  • Garnish with any number of condiments.

We prefer Grey Goose Vodka (France) or Forbidden Spirits (Kelowna, B.C.)
