Warm Figs with English Potted Blue Cheese and Westphalia Ham
Fresh Figs are a true delight, so when you see them buy a few. They are very seasonal and don’t travel well, and are ripe for only a few weeks.
English Potted Blue Cheese is usually a very strong cheese, and a little goes a long way. Once the jar is opened the blue veins begin to appear. Very magical.
Westphalia Ham (German) is a stronger flavoured and saltier ham than other types of deli hams. It is thinly sliced and sold boneless.
Drizzle the entire thing with a really good quality honey and dessert is perfect!

Notes
This dessert was amazing with a Chateauneuf – du – Pape. Even though the honey is sweet the blue cheese stands out as the priority flavour.
