Turkey Chili

Turkey Chili

Turkey Chili is a little leaner than beef; and we use some cumin and thyme to enhance the flavours. White kidney beans change the appearance but not the taste. This recipe is a slow cook type meal for a cool fall or winter day. Even better is the game is on!

Turkey Chili

Garnish the chili with grated cheddar, sour cream, fresh sliced jalapeno, or peppers and serve with tortilla chips or rice.
We make chili recipes with our granddaughters in mind, and adults can add any number of spicier condiments on the side. If making chili only for adults, absolutely add ½ tsp. cayenne and ½ tsp. red pepper flakes to start and increase the heat to your personal taste.
Beware the wine of choice may change as you add heat!

Notes

Without a whole lot of spice, this chili pairs beautifully with Chianti’s. The spicier you make the chili think about dry Rieslings or Roses, or it may be time to settle on a beer!
We’ve paired:
  • Castella Di Gabbiano Chiati Classico Reserva

  • Antinori Peppoli Chianti Classico

  • Fattoria dei Barbi Chianti
